A memory becomes a project
The GIMMI story began with a grandmother's words to her grandson one late-August afternoon. Grandmother Gilda recalled the hemp growing in fields around her childhood home and the work she shared with her mother.
Inspired by that memory, two friends with a passion for textiles began exploring hemp's potential. Research into materials and artisanal processes became the starting point for GIMMI garments.
