Product details
This kimono starts with hemp grown and processed in the province of Vicenza. The fabric is woven on mid-19th-century handlooms, each thread interlaced slowly in the tradition of Italian textile craftsmanship.
Its textured, naturally irregular weave reflects hand weaving and gives each garment its own character. Strong, breathable hemp retains its structure over time and adapts naturally to the body.
The wide, fluid silhouette can be worn open over a shirt or T-shirt, or fastened with an artisan hemp cord made by an 18th-century rope-making workshop, also in the Vicenza area. This detail connects the garment to local manufacturing traditions.
Every stage, from fibre and weaving to cutting and sewing, takes place locally in the Vicenza area, in a short, controlled supply chain that values both materials and human work.
Made to order. Hand weaving and garment making require time, care and precision. Production time: 2–3 weeks.
