PRT.030.213. A V-neck jumper with a drop-stitch texture in Italian hemp and wool yarns by Prototipo Studio: Tuscan hemp and virgin wool from sheep raised in Puglia.
The hemp fibre is retted through an anaerobic process. Floating yarns over a flat 4.2 rib base create an experimental, slightly open knit with a warm, textured feel.
A deep V-neck is framed by 4.2 ribbing. The waist has a very relaxed fit with no added stretch, and a slightly flared shape. A unisex garment to wear across seasons.
Anaerobic retting darkens the hemp colour from straw ochre towards earthy tones. Also available in charcoal grey and mud green. Working with a predominant natural pigment makes shades variable.
Prototipo Studio uses no synthetic stretch fibres, elastane or nylon, materials often used in standard knitwear production.
